Description

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is required to perform day to day financial transactions by classifying, computing, posting and recording AR Data.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and Analyzing Customer Accounts Receivable Balances: AR analysts are responsible for monitoring and analyzing outstanding debts owed to the company by customers
• They keep track of invoices, ensuring timely payments and identifying any discrepancies
• Data Collection and Summarization: AR analysts collect and summarize data from various sources related to customer accounts
• This involves gathering information on payment history, outstanding balances and any special arrangements
• Maintaining Customer Accounts: They maintain accurate records of customer accounts, including payment history, credit limits, and any special arrangements
• Regularly updating account information is essential for effective debt management
• Investigating Payment Issues: When payments are missing or unresolved, AR analysts investigate the reasons behind the issues. 
• They work to resolve discrepancies and ensure that actions are taken promptly.
• Monitoring Overdue Accounts: AR analysts keep a close watch on overdue accounts 
• They initiate contact with customers who haven't completed their payments to understand the delays. 
• Credit Line Adjustments: Based on their analysis, AR analysts may recommend changes to credit limits for certain customers Adjusting credit limits can help address payment challenges
• Handling Discounted Purchases and Credit Sales: Companies receive payments through various methods, including credit sales and discounts 
• AR analysts monitor these payment methods and ensure proper tracking
• Preparing Financial Reports: Reconcile accounts, evaluate periodic bills, and prepare financial reports for the company These reports provide insights into the overall financial health related to accounts receivable

Requirements

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize sales applications within ERP software (i.e. Encompass).
• Exposure to complex tasks within the job function

Preferred:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
• 2 years’ of related experience
